There are 3 NHS charge bands:
Band 1: £27.90
Covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes X-rays, a scale and polish (if clinically needed), and planning for further treatment.
Band 2: £76.60
Covers all treatment included in Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
Band 3: £332.10
Covers all treatment included in Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.

What if I need more treatment?
If, within 2 calendar months of completing a course of treatment, you need more treatment from the same or lower charge band, such as another filling, you do not have to pay anything extra.
If the additional treatment needed is in a higher band, you’ll have to pay for the new NHS course of treatment.
But once 2 months have passed after completing a course of treatment, you’ll have to pay the NHS charge band for any NHS dental treatment received.
Certain treatments (including lost items) are guaranteed for 12 months from the date they were completed.

All costs will be discussed before treatment and a written estimate provided at your examination appointment.
Private fees may apply to NHS patient where the NHS does not provide certain services: This will always be explained to you but common reasons include
Work of a cosmetic nature (including white fillings and crowns on back teeth)
Crown and bridge work beyond that deemed “sufficient and necessary”
Work beyond an expected level of complexity
Any denture work to a spare set of dentures
Our Hygienist Beccie has been with our practice since 2014.
Beccie now offers direct access to non registered patients, this initial appointment is £120 and subsequent appointments will be £60.00.
For registered patients, your first visit to see Beccie privately, we book a 30 minute appointment, charged at £60.00. She will then assess your needs and after a discussion, book you back in accordingly for either a 30 minute appointment (£60.00) or a 20 min appointment (£50.00).
Cancellations within less than 24 hours will incur a 50% charge, failure to attend will incur a 100% charge.
